The Mountain Mushroom Festival

People in the Race

During the last weekend in April, Irvine, Kentucky hosts a two-day celebration of Spring and the emergence of the Morel mushroom. The festival features a wide variety of arts and crafts, a quilt/art show, homemade food, regional gospel and bluegrass music, a parade, a 5K race, a mushroom market, canoe and kayak rides, lectures and demonstrations. This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors, friends, and families togather for fun, food, fellowship and mountain heritage interests.
