We are excited to bring you the summer 2004 KAHT newsletter. Hopefully, you are adjusting to this new layout and format for the newsletter. We received a lot of positive feedback from our KAHT members about the new look and information provided in the newsletter. We hope you will find this newsletter informative and the resource tools useful for your business. In this issue, you will read about one small business owner’s health care dilemma of finding affordable health insurance for her and her family. The article provides some very helpful tips and resources for evaluating health care plans for the self-employed. Be sure to check out the new participants links in our “New to the Trail” section. We are excited to have the Mountain Music Trail participants with us and welcome them to the project. This trail is comprised of Martin, Lawrence and Boyd counties. We have also highlighted some upcoming workshops and grant writing opportunities in our “Events” section. Please check these out and see if any of them can be of benefit to your business. The workshops offer a wealth of information and tools that relate to artisans, craftspeople and small business owners. Please continue to help us promote KAHT across the state and in our counties. Your support and promotion really makes a difference! Have a wonderful summer! Chris Cathers
